Bernard
Heitner
Mr.
Heitner is Cambridge Mercantile's CEO and
one of two founders of the company. A native
of New Zealand, he earned his Bachelor of
Commerce degree from the University of New
South Wales in Australia.
After graduation in 1976, he joined Coopers
& Lybrand, and earned his CA designation.
He then continued his career in London,
England before moving to Canada.
He went on to become a registered member
of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Heitner's Canadian CA designation is
the equivalent of the US CPA.
As CEO of Cambridge Mercantile, Mr. Heitner
establishes strategic alliances with other
financial service companies, and is the
driving force behind Cambridge's expansion
into eCommerce initiatives.
With
his strong accounting skills, and knowledge
of financial controls, he initiated, developed
and evolved the corporation's back office
technology application, Cam-Trade.
Mr. Heitner shares joint responsibility
with the President for strategic planning
and corporate direction, legal and compliance
issues, and overall policy definition.
Jacques
Feldman
Cambridge
Mercantile's joint founder and President
is Mr. Jacques Feldman.
A
native of Antwerp, Belgium, Mr. Feldman
is a certified gemologist who has spent
a number of years in the diamond industry.
He founded Canadian Diamonds and Alpha Diamonds
in Canada, selling small polished stones
on a large-volume, wholesale basis.
Through
his contacts in the diamond industry, and
his concentrated efforts in sales and marketing,
Mr. Feldman has been responsible for the
dramatic increase in Cambridge's client
base.
Cambridge
Mercantile's client base has grown from
100 to almost 4,000 in less than ten years. |
